The veg burger was the standout for me, fresh, tasty, and nicely put together. Kothe momo and veg chowmein were decent too, with good flavors, though the seasoning and overall taste could be better. Backpackers Lodge has a laid-back feel that works well for a casual meal or hanging out. A few tweaks to the dishes would make the food even better. I’d visit again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book ahead if you want to stay here, the rooftop garden restaurant is always busy and is one of the best things about the hotel. The lodge is in a central spot with easy access everywhere, and my room is clean with hot water in the shower every time. They also do good laundry. My favorite lodge, highly recommended. The staff were friendly and answered all my questions clearly. The room was clean, with proper beds, toilet paper, hot showers, and even an AC unit. For a central place in Kathmandu, the price was good. We even got an unexpected huge discount on a deluxe room.

There are so many choices on the Momo menu, which I especially appreciated. We had spinach paneer and bag packer momos, both delicious and served in very generous portions. The food at the Rooftop cafe was awesome. Definitely check it out!
