New Dakshinkali Village Resort

All night in my deluxe room, I could hear a steady dripping sound, and it seriously disrupted my sleep. Management should look into that, especially in the premium rooms. The BBQ by the pool was disappointing as well. Some items were still available, but they took the basket away. Lunch the next day wasn’t much better. A staff member’s sad, rude expression made the atmosphere uncomfortable, and when we had dessert, dahi and lalmon, which hadn’t been offered properly, we felt almost like thieves for taking one extra serving because of the same unwelcoming look. The service didn’t feel professional or hospitable. After this stay, I wouldn’t recommend the resort and don’t plan to return. At the end, I left saying “M*ji”... 😒😒 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

We had to keep reminding the staff, but the delays didn’t improve. Milk tea took an hour and a half, and the BBQ we asked for at 6 PM didn’t arrive until 8 PM. The group room also felt poorly arranged and was in bad shape. We came despite the negative reviews because the resort had replied that management had changed. Unfortunately, the same problems are still there.

It’s a quiet place with greenery and hill and forest views, near the monastery. We went for a picnic, so I can’t comment on the room service. There’s plenty of space for groups, with standard, deluxe, and family rooms available, and it could work well for family gatherings or group activities. The food was average. There’s also a nearby cave called Shakti cave, suitable for a small group, though it ends in a dead end. A peaceful spot for groups who enjoy nature.

Despite the name, New dakshinkali resort doesn’t feel new. The facilities are old and rusty, and the rooms weren’t properly clean. The food was satisfactory. We were served salad on arrival and thought it was included, but sadly it wasn’t, a common scam nowadays. And then there were all kinds of spiders and insects you can imagine.
