The staff are all very kind, and the location is great. What really amazed me is that they grow and roast their own coffee. That’s rare. If you want to buy some, it’s best to reserve it.

Their complimentary breakfast had so much variety and was a sumptuous spread, a real highlight. We stayed one night before our trek. The three-bed room felt a bit cramped, but it was cozy and comfortable. The only downside was the lack of an elevator, especially if you’re on an upper floor.

We came to Nepal for the first time and took a motorcycle tour. The owner helped us with basically everything, and the staff were great too. We loved the delicious Nepalies food, the atmosphere, and the good location. What an owner! Definitely coming back. Thanks for everything!

The inside garden area and the staff were my favourite parts. Hotel Buddha has been operating in Thamel for 45 years, run by the same family all that time. I think it gives you the best balance between what you pay and what you get. The name says a lot, though the friendly welcome felt like a Nepal thing to me, with Nepal being the most friendly nation in Asia. Highly recommend, you’ll love it here.

The staff were very friendly and accommodated us well. We were lucky to get a free upgrade to a family room with an attached bathroom, plus free breakfast in the morning. Overall, it was very good value for a stay in Kathmandu.
