The biggest concern was security. On our second night, at about 2 a.m., a woman suddenly opened our door while we were asleep. We screamed, and she left. The owner first denied responsibility and shouted at us, accusing us of things we hadn’t said and raising unrelated personal matters. After checking CCTV, it turned out a woman from another floor had entered our room by mistake. We also learned that keys from other rooms could open ours. The owner brushed this off as “not his problem” and blamed the key manufacturer. I left for another hotel for my final night because I didn’t feel safe. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially for families or anyone concerned about privacy, hygiene, or security. An early check-in and initially polite conversation don’t make up for those risks. I’d booked three nights and arrived around 10 a.m. after an early flight. They let me check in ahead of time, which I appreciated, and the staff, who seemed to be the owners, were polite at first. But the room was cramped, with no proper window for fresh air. One window looked into the living room, and there was no soundproofing. Later, the owner repeated things I’d only discussed privately with my family, which made me think staff could hear us. The bathroom was tiny and dirty, with the shower directly over the toilet, so everything got soaked unless we moved our toiletries. The water from both the shower and bathroom tap was yellow and seemed unfiltered. The towels were extremely dirty and unhygienic.

Really wonderful stay :) The food was fantastic, especially the momos, and the rooms were clean and comfortable with hot water. The staff were incredibly kind. They checked in on me often, helped with itineraries and rides, and even sorted out my complicated travel plans. They went well beyond what I expected. I can’t wait to come back.

The people here were so warm and helpful, and I always enjoyed stopping by the counter for a chat. My room was clean and had nice hot water. The hotel is on a China street, with plenty of good restaurants and cafes about a 5-10 minute walk away. I stayed three nights, then added another night after returning from Pohkara. The owner kept my luggage safe while I was away. Thank you, and I hope to see you again!
