The guest house is right in the heart of Thamel, and I would recommend it to my friends. Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and check-in went without a problem. My room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was clean with 24hr hot water. The dining area was nicely decorated, and the food was great. They provide free hot and cold drinking water around the clock. There's also a desk where you can get guidance about treks and tours and hire services.

Holy Lodge is very clean and well maintained, including the rooms and shared bathrooms. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the WiFi and hot water were good too. Its central spot is handy for shopping, bars, and restaurants. Be prepared for bar music at night. Like most Kathmandu hotels, it has no heat on cold nights, but they can provide an extra blanket if needed. Thank you, friends!

I liked the all black and white theme, and the location is perfect. The rooms were tidy and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average. It was a kind touch that they offered me the khadag scarf when I left, even though I was there for only one night.

There was mould all over our room, and the whole place smelled of drains. Staff were rude and unfriendly, and didn't help us at all. The noise was terrible, breakfast had just 1 option, and they eventually refused the free airport shuttle they had advertised. This was our worst stay in Nepal. Don't go here.

The food was quite tasty, but the service and attention to detail need improvement. My breakfast order was put in wrong, and I had to wait for the bacon and sausage that had been left out. I also had to remind them to bring a tea spoon for my cup of tea.
