The room was beautiful, and the service was good, but the noise from the stairs was a real problem. I understand it’s a wooden house, so walking makes noise, but after paying a good amount for a stay, I didn’t want to hear someone going up and down the stairs at 5 am. They really need to address the stair noise.

My parents liked the place so much that they ended up eating dinner at the hotel every day. The food was scrumptious and the portions were just right. I’d booked 2 executive suites through make my trip, one for me and one for my parents. The rooms were well maintained and squeaky clean, and the helpful staff made sure we were comfortable. The airport shuttle and site seeing tour were a big plus, and Mr Shyam was so humble and helpful. The only drawback for me was the lack of an elevator, since my father has osteoarthritis. I think that’s an issue with MMT only, though, and it’s just my personal preference. The stay was comfortable and memorable. Thank you, Hotel Heranya. If you’re visiting Kathmandu, I’d highly recommend staying here instead of at a boring, unnecessarily expensive flagship hotel with subpar facilities.

The location is easy to reach, and the staff are good. The food was okay, but hygiene is the main issue here. The rooms have an old heritage style and aren’t well maintained.

I couldn't get decent rest because the rooms were so noisy, with disturbances going on. They charge a lot for that, too. Think it over before booking.
