Hotel Moonlight

The hotel is an easy walk from Indra Chowk Bazaar, and I’d gladly stay here again. The food and service were lovely for the price, and Barsha was especially kind and nice to us. I’d definitely recommend it.

What stood out most was how genuinely helpful the staff were. They made me feel welcome and gave the best service. In my experience, they meant it when they offered help, which felt very different from the more routine, trained-to-say-it service I’ve had at European hotels. I had a lovely stay at the Moonlight.

I was very happy with my four nights here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were really nice and helpful. On a 22-day trip, this was the best breakfast buffet I had.

Hotel Moonlight is in a handy part of Thamel, with restaurants, shops, and other essentials an easy walk away. It felt central without being too noisy or hectic. My room was comfortable and relaxing, with a good bed, water, towels, and the other things I needed. Housekeeping kept it clean each day, and it felt safe. The staff made the stay much easier. They were friendly, patient, and quick to sort out anything I needed. They also checked how I was doing when I got back, which I appreciated after time in the mountains. They knew Kathmandu well and gave clear answers and useful suggestions whenever I had questions. I had a very positive stay and would happily return or recommend it to anyone visiting Kathmandu.
