Hotel Royal Kathmandu by OYO Rooms

There are markets nearby, so you can pass time walking around and shopping. The hotel is in Mitranagar, Kathmandu, among many other hotels that seemed to be of a similar standard. I didn't see what made it a three-star property as designated here. It may suit budget-minded, easygoing tourists who aren't too concerned about comfort and can adjust to conditions. Our room felt small and claustrophobic, with dated furniture. The bathroom had a large window facing a room in the adjacent hotel about 10 feet away, so you need to remember to close the blinds for privacy. The room window was also only about 10 feet from another hotel's room. There was no swimming pool, and there wasn't much of a view from the rooms or rooftop. Hot water was a major problem. During our four-night stay, we couldn't get hot water for a day and a half. The TV didn't work, though we didn't need it. There was a lift with capacity for five people, which seemed adequate, a medium-sized dining hall, and a small, somewhat cramped reception. The building had seven floors, so I guess there were at least 50 rooms. Enclosed parking could fit four or five cars or SUVs. We traveled with an agent, so I don't know the rate. We didn't try the food because we had our own kitchen team.

A very pleasant stay at Hotel Royal Kathmandu. The staff were cooperative, and the food and other amenities were nice.

The rooms were neat and clean, and the staff were cooperative with very good service. Breakfast and dinner were prepared hygienically, and both were tasty and good quality. We were very happy with our visit to Hotel Royal Kathmandu in Kathmandu. If you're going to Kathmandu, please stay at Hotel Kathmandu. Thank you.
