Karma Hotel Nepal

Thamel is right outside, with restaurants and shops at your feet, and the higher floor rooms are better. I was there in winter when the price was very low. The room was basic and okay clean, with a soft bed, good linens, and an okay pillow. It had AC, a heater, hot water, shampoo, body wash, towels, a TV, weak to okay WiFi, and daily cleaning. Staff were nice. The traffic noise gets quite intense at night and in the morning.

Airport pickup was really helpful, and the host made the stay enjoyable with especially warm, welcoming hospitality. All the information and services were provided nicely. Great place and great host!

We stayed here twice, and the warm welcome and helpful staff were a big part of why. They were friendly and shared useful information whenever we needed it. The hotel can arrange paid taxi rides around the city and Kathmandu Valley, and airport pickup is free. Rooms are comfortable, with warm water available safely throughout the day and heating that makes them cozy. That can be hard to find elsewhere in Nepal, even in pricier hotels. The hotel sits on a quieter road with shops and travel agencies nearby, while Thamel's bustle and Kathmandu's sights are an easy walk away.

I've stayed in a lot of Kathmandu hotels, and this one is second to none while still being very economical. The manager is so helpful with taxis, services, and whatever else you need, and the staff couldn't be better. It's clean and in a brilliant location, with great WiFi, showers, and coffee. Airport pickup was included and worked really well. Highly recommended!
