Kathmandu Suite Home

The staff and guard were friendly, and the location made it easy to walk to shops and spas. The room itself was basic, though our first impression was a lot of bugs running around. We mentioned it the next day, and they fixed the issue quickly. It may have been a disconnected sink outlet. This was our first Nepal hotel, booked through our hiking agency, so we had nothing else to compare it with. After staying at Nomad Hotel, also a three-star place, we can say it felt cleaner and more stylish for the same agency price, and seemed better value.

When my flight was cancelled, I could return and spend the night here. The staff were wonderful, and breakfast was delicious. Everything about the hotel felt perfect. I couldn't have asked for more.

The rooftop bar and restaurant has great views over Kathmandu, the hills, and the Monkey Temple, with delicious food. Kathmandu Suite Home is just outside Thamel, so it's easy to walk to what you need, but the area is a bit quieter than nearby spots. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. I stayed in three hotels in Nepal, and this was the best by far. The reception is modern and stylish, the rooms are spacious, and the upper floors have lovely views. The shower pressure was good, the lock, lighting, and electrics all worked, and the TV had plenty of local and English channels. WiFi was reliable too, which mattered since I had business Teams meetings. The staff were friendly, polite, and efficient. They really made the stay.
