We found the luggage storage really useful when we went hiking, and the staff and owner were so accommodating and friendly. They helped with anything we needed and made our Nepal trip amazing. The rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a choice of double or single beds, and the prices were very good. Great location, too. I highly recommend this guest house if you visit Katmandu.

The restaurant out front has tasty food at nice prices. Om Tara guest house was a lovely place to spend our first couple of days in Kathmandu. I enjoyed talking with the staff and felt welcome.

The price felt fair, and I had really hot water. There’s a little French crepe Cafe that was handy during my six-night stay. The hotel is tucked away in central Tamel, so it stayed quiet, though it was hard to find on Google Maps. Search for Samang cafe or lama's thakali kitchen, then head into the alley. The Wi-Fi on the fourth floor wasn’t great.

The room wasn’t made up every day, and I had to ask reception for drinking water. Still, the staff were friendly, hot water was always available, and the internet was mostly fine, though it slowed down sometimes. It’s near central Thamel but quiet. The hotel has recently changed hands, with improvements planned. I’d stay again.

We felt like part of the family here. The staff were so kind and helped us sort out any problems during our time in Katmandu. They also kept our bags while we went trekking. Om Tara Guesthouse is clean and really well located, so we’d highly recommend staying here.
