OYO 729 Hotel Era

The place is peaceful and quiet, away from the market noise but only a couple of minutes' walk from it. Staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. The rooms and toilets/showers were clean, and they make a lovely cup of tea. I'd definitely come back.

I only stayed for the night before catching a bus the next morning. The staff were kind, and I appreciated that they let me leave my luggage while I went on a trip to Langtang. The room, though, felt poor for a hotel chain: there was a cocroach on the wall, and the bed was hard, noisy, and unstable.

I took off 0.1 star because I was charged 100 rupee/night more than the amount the OYO app showed. The app's staff also gave me poor service, saying I could only check in after 9 or 10am, while the owner kindly answered my call at 5am and let me check in. The owner and staff were polite throughout. During my 3 night stay, the food was superb, both veg and non veg, which is hard to find away from home in city KTM. The attached room had a good bed, working wifi and tv, plus hot and cold water in the bathroom. For me, it's a 5/5 ⭐ place near Gongabu Buspark, suitable for families and couples.

For a group of friends wanting a night together without spending much on a hotel, you can book here. There's no limit on guest numbers, and two rooms can fit 6 people. The best choice is the corner room on the second floor, which has a balcony. The other rooms are okay.
