Hotel Fewa Camp

The warm, welcoming staff were a highlight, and the tilak and scarf they gave us when we left was such a sweet gesture. We booked a Balcony room, but they first gave us a different room and said no Balcony rooms were available. After we protested more, they offered one for a night, then said it wasn't available. We had to push hard before they finally gave us the room we booked. The view from the bed in the morning was stunning, with a hot air balloon floating over serene Phewa lake, snowcapped peaks, and the peace pagoda. From the balcony, though, the dug-up ground and garbage between the property and lake were an eyesore, and the outside grounds were dug up. The lake view and staff are the main things going for this place. The property itself isn't much to talk about, the rooms are dated, and breakfast is average. For this budget, it's probably one of the few good options for a lake view. If the ground outside doesn't bother you, it could work.

The lake and market are both close by, and the staff were courteous. Rooms were clean and the stay was comfortable. The breakfast selection could be better, but that wouldn't put me off staying here.

Right in the middle of the market, this property is also very near Fewa lake, with lake-facing rooms and a great view. The room was nice, staff very helpful, and there was decent Indian vegetarian food. Plenty of vegetarian restaurants are nearby too. A very decent place.

We had a nice view of the lake and the open space right in front of the windows. The location was awesome, rooms clean, and service nice. I liked the taste of the food from the kitchen on the first day's breakfast, but after that I didn't want it again.
