The hotel has a lot going for it, with luxurious rooms, fresh food, plenty of facilities, and a nice balcony view. The letdown was the service speed. Whenever we ordered something, it took ages and we had to keep reminding them.

The rooms and location were good, but prices for things like food and bottled water were about twice what they actually cost. They were also unhelpful if we didn't eat at the restaurant. Since we were traveling in an Indian vehicle, we needed a local guide to come along. A hotel person accompanied us, but didn't take us to the tourist spots and gave our driver misleading directions. It made for a very unpleasant trip.

The Nepali food, especially dal bhat tarkari, was tasty. The fries weren't like they used to be, though, and I found the food pretty oily. It's a peaceful place that works well for a family stay.

The room was comfortable and reasonably priced, and the view from it was great. The service was really good too, and I enjoyed the food.

I've stayed here as a solo traveler and would be happy to come back with a group too. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. It's my favorite place to stay.
