Hotel Middle Path and Spa

Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruit, salad, eggs, pastries, plenty of other choices, and great coffee. The hotel is cosy and welcoming, with spacious rooms and a small gym that has enough equipment for a decent workout. It’s only 300m from the main street and lakeside. The friendly, helpful staff made things easy, including letting us leave our bags at no extra charge between our stays before and after the trek.

The rooftop has amazing views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and the lake. Middle Path Hotel was a pleasant place to stay, with clean, comfortable rooms and courteous staff who were always helpful. Its location made exploring easy, with Phewa Lake and the main market both within walking distance.

The spa was a real highlight, along with the breakfast. Prices seemed reasonable compared with other Pokhara spas, and hotel users get a 10% discount. I paid 2025 npr for a 1 hr Nepali massage in December 2025. The staff seemed well trained, the service was very good, and they served tea afterwards. I went twice during our 3 nights there. The breakfast has loads of choice, with fresh vegetables and fruit, different breads including sweet pastries and wholewheat bread, plus Indian and Nepali dishes, French toast, or waffles. Coffee costs extra, but their capuccinos looked professionally made. It’s a shame they don’t have plant based milk. Our room was comfortable. The bathroom loses a star for me because the shower has only one side wall, so water gets all over the room. The hot water and pressure were excellent, though. There’s also a heated swimming pool and a hotel gym that’s quite well equipped. It has two 20kg dumbbells, a bench press machine, lat pulldown, cable machine for squats and other back, arm, and cheat exercises, plus a basic leg press machine. We stayed 3 nights, after trying another hotel where the difference was huge. I’d definitely come back to this hotel if I return to Pokhara.

The buffet had plenty of good quality choices, and the hotel felt relaxed and welcoming. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Middle Path & Spa and would happily return and recommend it.
