We just checked in and found out the spa and sauna we chose this hotel for aren’t actually in the hotel. They’re in another building and aren’t included in the room rate. That feels like false advertising. The room is noisy too, with an extremely loud screech from the bathroom about half the time. This is a miserable place to be.

I stayed three days, and the experience was terrible. The only good person was the security guard at the gate. The reception guy was rude and didn’t know how to speak to customers. Breakfast was the same every day. We booked a couples’ room with a master bed but were given two beds instead. One bedsheet was already damaged, though I don’t know how it happened. At checkout they charged me a 2,000 rupee damage fine. I explained it was damaged before, but they insisted, and it felt like they just wanted my money. They claim to be a high-facility hotel, but customer satisfaction is poor. I think it’s the worst hotel in Pokhara. Please don’t book or go here, they’ll loot you.

Hotel Shaara gave me a wonderful stay. The food was delicious and the atmosphere peaceful, and the views from the spotless, comfortable rooms were great. Staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help. Highly recommended!

Good for the price, with really good staff and clean rooms. The toilets need maintenance or updating, though, since some things don’t work well.
