Hotel The Clock

I've been to this hotel three times, but this was my last. I paid the full price in advance, yet on the second day they didn't clean my room, even after I asked. The bathroom tap was malfunctioning too. Please fix it.

We were shown the Deluxe double room on the top floor twice in the morning, first when my husband went alone, then when we went together. It suited us, so we agreed with the manager to book it and planned to come back in an hour with our luggage from another hotel. By the time we arrived with our large, heavy backpacks, handed over our passports, and filled out the check-in form, we were suddenly told that room had already been booked. They offered another room, but it was worse and didn't suit our needs. The first room was still listed as available on booking.com, and the manager said it was a mistake. We packed up and went to a hotel across the street. One star for the time and energy wasted. P.s: The second room they offered faced street noise that came through the closed window and door. We also checked the water heating, and hot water took a long time to start.

I stayed one night after a friend offered me the place. He's a tour guide who often stays here and books it for his guests. The amenities were sufficient, and breakfast was good, with healthy options. It offers very good value for the price, and I'd recommend it.

For a budget stay, it was clean and safe, with the basics, AC rooms, a good balcony, and nice rooftop views. The service was good and it felt like good value for money. But the bathroom flooded during showers because the drain is under the sink. There was only one pillow, and they didn't provide fresh towels or separate face or floor towels. The TV had no connection to YouTube or movie channels. I nearly got locked in during the street festival because the staff didn't know when the roads would close.
