Breakfast by the lake was a real treat. The open restaurant leads straight out to the lakeside, so we could sit in the sun and enjoy the view in a relaxed way. The property itself has a lovely courtyard layout that feels peaceful, and the rooms are fully equipped. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. It’s right beside Pokhara’s famous lakeside area.

The management’s response to our complaint was the worst part of an already awful stay. After we raised concerns about the rooms on the first night, they called the next afternoon while we were out sightseeing and insisted that any room change had to happen immediately, or they would do nothing later. We were there for three days and only wanted to come back, look at the other rooms, then decide. The manager told us, “If you want, you can change the hotel.” Their rude, arrogant and unprofessional attitude made it clear they didn’t care about resolving anything respectfully. We had booked Pokhara Majestic Lake Front in advance and paid in full, expecting a comfortable stay with a lake view. After travelling from India with family, we were put in cheap, staff-like ground-floor rooms. The corridors were congested, and the surroundings were terrible. We booked two rooms for convenience, but they were awkwardly apart. Both were tiny, suffocating, poorly maintained, and nothing like what had been promised. The balcony looked onto a depressing garden and service area, with no proper lake experience or decent ambience. The hotel sells itself as “lake front” with scenic views, so this was a huge disappointment and left us feeling misled. The food and cleanliness were disgusting. Breakfast was tasteless, stale and unhygienic, like leftovers. There were insects in the curd and worms or insects in the bread. I genuinely question how the hotel operates with such poor food quality and hygiene. The bathroom window could be opened by anyone from the outside corridor. That was an unsafe and careless arrangement, especially for a family stay. This was the worst hotel experience of my life and ruined our family trip to Pokhara. I’ve rarely seen management and hospitality this bad, with no professionalism, courtesy, respect or accountability. It felt like they cared only about taking money while leaving tourists with misleading expectations. I’d strongly warn families and tourists away from Pokhara Majestic Lake Front unless they want rude staff, dirty food, cramped rooms and a ruined vacation.

Staying here with my family was a real pleasure. My two-year-old daughter had such a good time, and seeing her happy made the trip extra special. The hotel is right in Lakeside, so getting around is easy, and the view was mesmerizing. Our room was comfortable, cozy and clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed every moment and would recommend it to families or couples wanting a relaxing, memorable stay.

The staff are what made this hotel stand out for us. Everyone went out of their way to help, and F&B Executive Krishna Paudel greeted us each day and made us feel like VIPs. The team was attentive, professional and genuinely warm. We’d absolutely come back. We stayed two nights before our Annapurna trek, then another seven nights afterward, on a local friend’s recommendation. The hotel is a calm oasis in busy Lakeside, Pokhara, with beautifully kept gardens, grass, flowers and fountains. There’s plenty of space to relax by the pool, in the gardens or in the restaurant. From the upper level there are lovely lake views, while the lower level is just metres from the lake, among trees and birds. Our room was to a high standard, with a large comfortable bed, spacious balcony, air conditioning and heating, minibar, TV and thoughtfully arranged ambient lighting. The bathroom was roomy, and the hot water had reliable high pressure. Breakfast was very good, with omelettes cooked to order, local and Western dishes, and continental options. Lunch and dinner were consistently outstanding, with lots of variety, quality ingredients and lovely presentation. The freshly pressed raw juices are especially worth a try.

The paragliding arranged through the hotel was the highlight of my trip. I got a magnificent view of the mountains, valley and lake all together. The night scene beside Fewa Lake was magical too, with the breeze off the water and live music nearby. I stayed at Majestic Lake Front Hotel & Suites last month, and the friendly staff made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The breakfast buffet was included and had lots of options for different tastes. For the rooms, service and amenities, it felt like great value for money. The quality easily beats Western standards for a fraction of the cost. If you’re visiting the area, I can’t recommend the place enough.
