The Pavilions Himalayas Lake View

Birds all around made the mornings especially lovely, and the quiet, private setting at The Pavilions Lake View is great if you want to slow down and get away from the rush. We had fresh, delicious food and an excellent breakfast. The staff were always polite and helpful. Ambika ji, the manager, was warm, professional, and attentive, which made our stay even better. A lovely place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

The boat ride in was already a special start, with birds to spot along the way, and from our hut we had a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. We only had one day at The Pavilions Himalayas Lake View, Pokhara because of time constraints, but it left a lasting impression. We travelled from India, and as vegetarians we really appreciated that the chef made Thakali food especially for us. It was delicious, as was dinner. The night view of the city was beautiful and calming, and we also had a very relaxing spa session. Birds chirping all day felt like soft music. The staff and manager were humble, warm, and helpful, and the property felt peaceful and thoughtfully run. In my opinion it's underrated, the views, food, team, and property deserve more appreciation. One of our best stays in Nepal, and highly recommended.

We were left stranded during a peak week in Pokhara Lakeside, and our family holiday plans for a hotel with a good view fell apart. Two days before arriving, I had booked directly after enquiring on their website, with payment due at the property. An hour before we set off, I called to confirm the address and pickup point, and was casually told there was a service fault in the area and they couldn't give us a room. The manager gave me the number for pavillion farm house instead of booking or moving our reservation there, but when I called, they had no rooms available. We ended up in an ordinary hotel inside Lakeside. Their poor communication and mismanagement ruined the day's excitement. If you want a holiday without problems, avoid this place.

I was there during a really difficult time when events were happening in Nepal, and the team made me feel safe and cared for. Their kindness meant a lot. The food was delicious, my room was cleaned daily, and the sunrise birdwatching with an expert guide was unforgettable. We saw rare birds. Climbing the forest steps felt meditative, and I recommend going all the way up, nearly 2,000 steps. It left me with a real sense of peace and achievement. A great stay if you want comfort, nature, and mindfulness.
