Ascot Vale Motor Lodge

The owner was helpful and polite, and the location is very convenient, but the room wasn't up to what we expected for the price. There was hair and mould in the shower, the toilet seat was peeling and coming apart, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, and the kettle leaked. We expected better quality and a much cleaner room.

The apartment was super clean, and the person who welcomed us at reception was friendly and helpful. They showed us to the apartment and gave us chocolates and a drink, which was a lovely touch. The bedding was comfortable, with plenty of blankets and great pillows. The kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed. Heating worked well, though it took a few minutes to warm up. The shower had good pressure and lots of hot water, and there were plenty of towels. There was a good supply of tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate and milk. The only issues were cobwebs on a vent above the single bed, which looked fresh, so I left the spider undisturbed, and the shower gel was the only wash product. It wasn't ideal for washing my hair before a 30-hour flight the next morning. I'd definitely recommend the motel, but bring your own shampoo. A big thumbs up from all of us.

The rooms were tidy and clean, the beds comfortable, and there are all the amenities you need. The shower pressure was good, though the shower head could use an upgrade.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It's right beside a bus stop, with an easy ride from the airport.
