Quest on Cambridge

I've found very few wheelchair accessible places this good anywhere. The facility is lovely and clearly designed by someone who understands accessibility. My two double bed room had plenty of room for my power wheelchair and all the gear I travel with, and the roll in shower was spacious and worked really well. The amenities were thoughtfully planned for a long stay or road trip. Most rooms have laundry in the room, though the accessible rooms don't. That was easy to manage: I left a bag with staff and they returned it clean and folded later that day. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and made my time in Christchurch delightful. Great location, too.

We never stayed at the property. We were traveling around NZ by car as a group from the States, and had been told there was parking at the hotel. When we arrived, there was no paid parking and no street parking either. It was freezing, nobody was there to let us in or help, the intercom didn't work, and we were told to go around back but couldn't open the gate. We cancelled, but none of our group got a refund beyond one night. Parking is a necessity for lodging, and we'd never have booked if we'd been warned. We found a cheaper, better hotel two minutes away. A full refund would have made us happy to cancel. Bad business practice.

Everything was brand new, and the beds were comfortable. The room was spacious and beautiful, with all the amenities, including a washing machine, dryer and kitchenette with a coffee plunger and cooktop. After hours check in went smoothly even though I arrived very late, and the location was perfect. The windows don't open, and their coating plus the full sun makes the room a little stuffy. I'd absolutely stay again.

Really good customer service, and you can check in 24 hours. Having a washing machine, dryer and laundry liquid in the room was so handy. I got home with all my clothes clean XD. The kitchen had everything I needed, too. Definitely coming back!!
