We’ve been coming to ascot for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience before, especially with room service food. This last visit was a first. We paid $345 for superior King room #110, with breakfast included, but the bathroom was nowhere near superior. I’d suggest having a look at it, as I don’t think it’s worth $250+. For the first time, the roast of the day was inedible, the fish was greasy, and my husband’s pudding was cold. Breakfast was a little underwhelming too. The hotel and sports bar staff were amazing as always, and the location was amazing, but the room and food were a big disappointment, especially at those prices. I emailed the establishment and heard nothing back, so I’m posting here. Sorry.

The bar serves a good range of pub-style evening food. The fish and chips were a decent-sized portion and good value. Breakfast had a good selection, though we had to ask for poached eggs after they’d run out, and the coffee was average. The Muzak at breakfast was really terrible. I can only assume it’s meant to move people along quickly. It’s a huge motel complex, handy for the racecourse but otherwise quite far from town. Our room’s connecting door was locked, but it did little to block the noise. Bring earplugs!

The room had very good facilities and a comfortable bed. The hotel is well equipped, with a nice spa and a very good restaurant serving quality meals. Staff at reception and breakfast were friendly and helpful, including with gluten-free menu options.

Whether you’re there for business or a family getaway, Ascot Park Hotel offers a lot for the money. Families can use the pool, spa pool, outdoor areas, several restaurants, mountain bikes, and plenty more. For business, there are extensive facilities, including conference rooms, as well as all the recreational options available to families.

Service was very poor. It took a long time to get food and drink orders taken, and staff were standing around talking to each other. Really disappointing, especially since it’s been good before.
