Leaving Strawbale House was the hard part. It felt like a home away from home, warm and full of heart, and we were already thinking about coming back before we'd even left. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living areas were so inviting. Every detail seemed thoughtfully put together. It has a little piece of our hearts, and it's not too far from home either.

We got ready for our wedding at The Strawbale House, and it was such a dream setting for the morning photos, with lots of lovely spots for our photographer. The location was beautiful and the setup was stunning. Hamish was a wonderful host, and the bridal party had a delicious breakfast and lunch he catered on the wedding day. We'll always treasure the memories we made there and can't wait to return.

There’s heaps of outdoor space in this country setting, and it feels private and relaxing without being cramped. The Little Black House is beautifully made, fun and cozy, tucked just below the seaward range mountains. Parking by the sunny deck made unloading and packing up easy. It's only a few minutes from town, with bush walks and nature nearby, and one of my favourite surf breaks just a short drive away. Lush and lux.
