The location worked well, and the reception staff were very helpful when we booked. We also liked the comfy shared lounge, pool table and table tennis, plus the recycling and food scraps bins. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was good, and the fridge and toilet worked fine. There were plenty of problems, though: the curtains were rotting, the bathroom drains smelled, and the tap was so loose I had to hold it in place to turn the water on. The shower soaked the whole floor, with just one hook behind the door for keeping things off it. The bedside lights were hanging loose, the tea towels were old and smelly, and there was mouse poo in a kitchen drawer. It was hard to find plates in the shared kitchen that were actually clean. The TV needed fixing, its remote was held together with tape, and there was no information about how to get on the Wi-Fi beyond being told it was available. The guest next door agreed. It's okay if all you need for the night is a bed and shower.

The room seemed very clean and the location is central. The beds and bedding looked new and were decent quality, though each of us only had one flat pillow. In a room for three, there was just one chair and one teaspoon, and no bedside tables. The bathroom was small, and the sink was too little for me to fill the jug.

The room was clean enough, but it only had one power outlet, by the door. The kitchen was filthy, with flies and uncovered food left out, and on one day it was closed without warning from 9am to 1pm. I'd only recommend it if you need a bed for the night.

The kitchen was clean and good, and the location and facilities were good too. The dorm mattresses were quite thin. Just don't plan to get started before 7am on a Sunday, like we did, because the kitchen is closed overnight.

Clean, friendly rooms for a good price, and there's a nice big common room with pool and table tennis. The showers are a bit old, but they work. An air fryer would be nice, though overall it was good.
