Amy was fantastic at check-in. I'd booked the wrong place, so she helped cancel it and booked us into a ground-floor room. Kerry Rose ran the function hands-on, with a lovely smile and excellent communication. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable and hassle-free.

We booked a room at the last minute after a wedding reception here, since we didn't have a change of clothes. The room was lovely, but all there was for making tea or coffee was an electric jug. No microwave.

The food was absolutely top-notch, and the service was outstanding. I also stayed in one of the newly upgraded rooms, which was beautiful and really practical. Since I travel often and need places to charge all my devices, I appreciated having plenty of outlets in useful spots. The new bathrooms are well thought out, and the makeup mirror was a small detail that made a big difference. The upgrades add to what was already an amazing stay. Highly recommend these rooms.

We arrived to find ourselves in the noisiest room, close to both roads, despite asking to move when we got there. It seemed like too much trouble. I'd called three times before arrival to request a quiet room away from the street, explaining I'm a very light sleeper and was happy to pay more. First I called three weeks ahead, then again a few days before, and each time I was told it would be no problem. On the morning of arrival, I was told scaffolding outside the allocated room would be noisy, but promised a quiet room on the park side. I got no sleep for all three nights. The curtains were ripped, the carpet stained, and trucks, buses and cars went by at all hours. The restaurant was overpriced for what you got. Disappointed. You need to follow through on your promises.
