We followed the pink markers through a short bush walk, with a few easy paths down to the beach. There were about seven sea lions asleep on the sand. Back at the lodge, the beds were really comfortable, the lounge was great, and the kitchen had what we needed to cook, as long as we brought our own food. Esther was kind and welcoming, and shared a few places to visit. Would happily stay again.

Esther was a great host, helpful and fun, and she makes a good coffee. Surat Bay lodge is right near the beach, where we watched sea lions basking and playing. We loved it.

We spent a lovely evening walking along the beach and keeping an eye out for sea lions. The place itself was clean, with roomy bedrooms, and our host was friendly. Such a gem in a peaceful setting.

Seeing sea lions from my window was a real highlight. I stayed for a week and felt right at home. The hosts were warm and friendly, and the place was clean, cosy, and unpretentious. Highly recommend.

Surat Bay is right beside the house, with a relaxing half-hour walk along it. A great stopover for a day, and the host was really friendly. The house was tidy and clean. Highly recommend.
