The staff were friendly, communicated well, and the service itself was good. The room, though, didn't feel properly cleaned. There was mould on the windowsills and curtains, popcorn under the bed, and the cabinetry was badly chipped. The single bed was uncomfortable and moved around easily. After I switched beds, I was asked whether we'd had extra people staying. Rooms should look clean and cared for beyond a quick service and sheet change, wherever you stay.

The location is right in the centre, and the room was really spacious with great facilities. I did notice traffic noise because it's so close to the Plaza. Still, I've never slept better in a motel or hotel. The bed was more comfortable than my own, and the shower was the best I've had, much better than at any motel I've stayed in.

We've stayed at the Cornwall for years, so it's disappointing to see the rooms going backwards. They're starting to look neglected and badly need a proper clean and fresh paint. The place could use some tender loving care.

The rooms are large and very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff were warm and friendly too. It's an easy walk to food and other amenities, and I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Cornwall Motel Lodge had a comfortable, homey feel, and the room was really spacious for the price. They even provided complimentary milk. The spa tub was a nice feature, though I noticed some dust and the balcony needed cleaning, which brought it down to four stars. A bit more attention to cleaning could make it a five-star stay. There are stairs if you're in an upstairs room, so keep that in mind if you're elderly. Still, it's a comfortable, solid place to stay.
