We've stayed here several times after taking the evening ferries from Wellington to Picton. Nicci is a wonderful host. The rooms are basic, with comfy beds and shared bathrooms, and there's a well equipped communal kitchen with complimentary breakfast. It's dog-friendly too.

I stayed for a week after stumbling across this place while walking through town after getting off the train. Nicci was always around and very helpful. When I said I couldn't find an all-women dorm, she arranged one for me. I also saw her kindly giving older guests lifts to the bus or ferry. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shared areas were spotless from their daily cleaning. A real little find.

For a few nights in a dorm, this was really good value. It's a simple hostel, but had what I needed: clean rooms, good showers, a well-stocked kitchen and a decent lounge.

As a solo traveller, I liked the spacious dorms and beds. You can section off your side for a bit of privacy. It's right in the middle of town, and the kitchen and showers were handy. They also asked us how the stay was.

Nicci was so accommodating, nothing seemed like too much trouble, and the price was great. The room was clean, the bed felt new and comfortable, the cotton sheets were lovely, and the bathrooms were spotless. It's a beautiful hostel. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to anyone needing a night in Picton before the ferry.
