Shops, restaurants and the waterfront are all nearby. The place was mostly clean, though I think motels should use a black light to check bathrooms more carefully. My bathroom had an updated interior, but its door was an outside-style door with a lock, which made me suspect the building had once been a boarding house. The shower pressure was pretty weak. TV channels were limited, but that was fine for me.

We needed a place for the night at short notice and found a comfortable room with two beds, a mini fridge, tea and coffee, a small, cute bathroom and a TV with Freeview. The two staff members I met were both welcoming and really friendly. Thank you ☺️

Everything is easy to reach on foot, and getting onto the highway was simple too. The hosts were welcoming and great. The rooms feel warm and homely, maybe a little too warm, so a ceiling fan to move the air around could help. We’ll definitely come back.

The room and bathroom looked good and were clean, the stay was quiet, and the staff were very friendly. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable, even compared with the inflatable camping mattress we’d been using on the trip. The bread and cereal breakfast also felt below par for the area. In the morning we waited and rang the phone, but couldn’t find anyone to check us out.
