Golden Glow Motel

For what I paid through booking.com, this motel was not worth it. The photos showed clean rooms, but what I found was dirty: food crumbs on the carpet, dust built up in the corners, mold on the curtains and carpets, apparent blood-like marks on the sheets, and spider webs in the corners. The staff were arrogant and hard to communicate with. When I raised the problems, the person there said, "Take it up with booking.com" and "The curtains are just old." I'm very disappointed with both the accommodation and the service. I don't recommend this motel.

There were small cockroaches all over the bathroom floor overnight, and there was hair in the shower, sink, and toilet. The carpet felt sticky, and I had to clean the toilet myself with wet wipes that turned black from the dirt. The room was very dirty and unhygienic. The poor cleanliness wasn't worth the price, and I wouldn't stay again.

The location was handy, close to grocery stores, so that's the one star. Everything else was awful. The facilities in the photos were misleading: the room was dirty, moldy, and smelled terrible, and there were bed bugs. I couldn't stay. The owner showed no concern and didn't respond to my situation. Agoda also refused to refund me even though I never stayed. It felt like a scam, and I strongly warn people away. I travelled a long way expecting a decent room based on the photos, but had to find another hotel and was extremely frustrated. If the motel can't keep rooms hygienic, it shouldn't be open and wasting travellers' time and money.

The room smelled dirty and the bedding wasn't clean. We booked for three people but got one rusty fork and one towel between us. It was a bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend it. I was already paying twice what I paid for rooms elsewhere on my trip, which made the disappointment worse.
