Our little one loved the kids room, a lovely surprise, and we wished we'd had enough time to try the pool facilities. We were there for two nights and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Lake View room and some wonderful welcome gifts. The hotel was spacious, the room comfortable, and the staff friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was okay and could be better, though the buffet offered lots of choices at both breakfast and dinner. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back.

We had an enjoyable stay and would happily return. The convenient location made it easy to get around, and the room was comfortable and well equipped. Staff were especially friendly and welcoming. As Accor Plus members, we appreciated the special touches, including the parking. Breakfast was good too, with plenty of choices.

We stayed as a couple for a few days, from November 30th till 2nd December. Thanks for honoring our Accor membership with a lovely room and a great view. The welcome card and snacks were a nice touch, the room was clean, and I loved the crisp white sheets. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and I liked that the milk was supplied in a bottle to support local producers. The location was excellent, with an easy walk into town for shopping and dining. We also appreciated still having Sky TV, so we could choose to watch movies or sport, since some other Accor hotels no longer offer it. Room service dinner was great. The steak was cooked perfectly, the menu had a good selection, and the prices were reasonable. We'd order again.

The hot and cold pools were a hit with our kids, who had a great time. We felt well looked after too, especially when welcome drinks were generously offered to everyone in our group. The staff were warm, welcoming and polite throughout, and the handwritten housekeeping card felt personal. Novotel Rotorua Lakeside is perfectly placed by the lake and right opposite the playground, which is ideal for families. As an Accor Gold member, I received free parking, a big help in a lakeside area where spaces can be hard to find. The rooms do feel a bit dated, with signs of age, but we had a great stay thanks to the service and unbeatable location.

The room was roomy and clean, with a comfortable bed, and breakfast had plenty of good options. The bathroom looked a little dated, and the shower was over the bath. The location was a real plus, looking out over Lake Rotorua and just a one-minute walk from the town centre and its many restaurants. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
