Safari Motel

The room was worth the money, and after driving for more than four hours for the first time, it was nice to be welcomed by super friendly staff. I knew the cooking facilities were limited, so I didn’t expect much, but there was a stovetop as well as a microwave and fridge, which helped. The staff were very helpful too. I loved my stay and would definitely recommend the place.

I slept really well during my one-night stay. The motel was very clean and excellent value, and the walls seemed well insulated since I couldn’t hear other guests or road noise. The room had the utensils and pots you might need, plus a kettle with no limescale at all, a microwave and toaster. There was fresh milk in the fridge, along with tea and coffee. The owner was friendly too.

The bed was good and everything was very clean. I appreciated the little containers of milk, margarine and spreads, and the decent Dilmah tea. The guy at the desk was super helpful too. I had trouble getting the air con going, but he came over and sorted the settings without a fuss.

The motel was clean, but dated. It felt like stepping back to the early 70s. Trucks were the main problem, making noise through the night. Double glazing and better curtains would help.
