Ballinor Motor Inn Hamilton

A short stroll gets you to the supermarket, bars, and restaurants. The studio units are comfortable, clean, and tidy, with a spa bath. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and there’s free Wi-Fi with sky. I always look forward to staying here when work brings me to Hamilton.

This used to be my favourite place to stay in Hamilton, before the ownership changed. Now it’s not the cleanest, the units smell damp and musty, and the staff are quite unfriendly. Looks can be deceiving. I won’t stay here anymore, which is a shame. To the owners’ reply: thanks for that. Yes, I live near Hamilton. I don’t make up lies about facilities or service. You couldn’t find me in your system because my stay wasn’t recent. I stayed for a work Christmas party in 2017. It was my first night out after my mother passed away. Your tone says it all, really. Check the facts before spreading lies about someone. Apologize and I might take the review down.

The room was immaculate and modern, with an LCD TV, SKY, and WIFI. The courtyard out back was a nice touch and gave us a private spot away from the four walls of the room. For what we paid, Ballinor exceeded expectations compared with other places. Probably the best place I’ve stayed in a long time. We’d spent two hours stuck behind an overturned truck after a long day of driving, so making it to Auckland seemed unrealistic. We checked the AA book and spotted a well-presented ad for Ballinor. Free WIFI was a big draw, since it’s such a necessity and so annoying to pay extra for. We arrived without a booking and David greeted us, cheerful and professional. We said we wanted the cheapest room because the stop was unplanned and money was tight. He kindly upgraded us to a room with air conditioning, saying it was far too hot to sleep without it. We were very grateful the next morning. Keep up the good work, David. I’ll definitely recommend you to friends and family!

My wife and I have stayed in plenty of motels when we want time away together. We’ve had good experiences and some very bad ones, and every now and then we find an exceptional place. We’re so glad to have found Ballinor, a lovely, clean motel with friendly, accommodating people. Thank you for everything, oxo.
