The room was quiet despite being beside one of the main roads south toward Qtown. It was an easy 1.4 km walk along the lakefront into town for dinner. We slept really well in room 5, the accessible, wheelchair-friendly room that was available, even though we didn't need those features. Everything was tidy, clean, and comfortable. One thing to watch: the bathroom tiles get very slippery, so we laid towels over them and that worked fine.

The room was unbearably hot, but opening the windows let swarms of bugs inside. A bright security light outside shone straight through the inadequate blinds. I slept terribly.

We had a pleasant one-night stop in Te Anau. Our room was on the ground floor, and the sheets, towels, and room itself were clean. The ensuite shower floor was a little slippery.

Fernando made the stay feel so welcoming. He was kind, accommodating, and a great host. We loved the comfortable, cute cottage, especially the heated mattresses, and there were lots of thoughtful things like candles. The kitchen and living room were great too. We'd happily stay again, 100000/10 recommend.

We spent two nights here for our Milford Sound trip and really liked the beautiful, clean old building. The only drawback was that the bathroom floor was a bit slippery. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
