Kepler Oaks Chalet

Luxmore cottage was roomy and thoughtfully laid out, and there's a short walk to the spectacular Waiau river scenery. Our family had a great time, especially the kids, who got to feed alpacas and sheep, ride a pony, play with the dogs, and meet the big, very friendly rooster.

We slept really well and loved the peaceful views. The place was clean, quiet, relaxing, and full of warm touches. Homemade bread, jam, juice, and milk were a lovely surprise, and the dogs greeting us on arrival, along with the horses and rooster, made it feel special. We'd absolutely book again.

The view from the porch was my favorite part, with a big yard and beautiful mountains behind it. We enjoyed sitting there with afternoon wine, and getting into town was easy. The cabin was a bit rustic, which suits us, but clean and well stocked, with both a wood stove and electric heater. Our hosts were fantastic.

Helen and David were such kind, easygoing hosts for a really enjoyable horse ride. The trail was fun and manageable for us beginners, and they took some great photos along the way. The horses were friendly and clearly well cared for. We even got to feed their alpaca.
