Room 6 was very quiet and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable, and there were two comfy chairs, a desk, fridge, kettle and a couple of bedroom cabinets. The Wi-Fi worked well. There was a shared toilet and shower on each floor, plus a downstairs kitchen with cereals for breakfast and an outdoor seating area. It's a large house on a side street off the main road, a little north of the city centre. I was there for a night while heading north and didn't see any staff, though I'd been sent check-in details and the front door was unlocked anyway. One house rule seemed odd: parking opposite the property by certain numbered houses could get your car towed. I didn't risk it!

After confirming my booking and charging my card, the property tried to cancel it by text. Then they said I had to arrange the refund myself. Unbelievably poor service. Don't use this property, or do so at your own risk.

Be aware that cancellations aren't refunded even when weather cancels your flights. They showed no understanding of circumstances outside my control. A 50% refund would've been a reasonable goodwill gesture.

What a rip-off. I had to cancel my booking, only to be told it was non-refundable. I couldn't find anything saying the money couldn't be refunded. This needs to go to a lawyer, but I've asked for a copy of the invoice and still haven't received anything. What a rip-off.

I've rented a room here for six months. The rooms are comfortable, but the price is far too high for what you get overall. Sometimes the bathrooms have no hot water. There have also been mice in the roof for months, and nobody is doing anything about it. I lived with mice at my parents' place, so I know they're there. They also seem greedy with money. Beware.
