Novotel Wellington

We've stayed here maybe ten times now. The shops are right outside, accessible by lift from the restaurant, and Willis Lane's underground eateries are only a few minutes away on foot. Breakfast is amazing, with a great range of food and drinks. The rooms are spacious and modern, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the hotel is always clean and tidy. Staff are consistently friendly and helpful.

The elevator takes you straight down to Lampton quay, where there are lots of shops, and you can get discounted parking in the neighbouring building. The room was well serviced and the staff were friendly. The TV was on the blink, though we weren't there to watch it anyway. The Caucus restaurant had great food, and the cooked breakfast was definitely worth it. I'd stay again.

The hotel restaurant was the highlight for me. I had one of the best meals I've ever tasted, with high-quality food. Novotel Wellington is also perfectly placed in the city centre, with great shops, cafes, and restaurants just steps away and everything within walking distance. Highly recommended.

We liked the easy key-drop checkout, and the stay itself was lovely. At check-in, though, our room wasn't ready even though we'd checked in online, provided an arrival time, and arrived during the proper check-in hours. I know it was a busy weekend, but that's still the first impression. Once we got the room, we had to ask for more towels and facecloths, since only two had been provided for our booking of three. Small things, but frustrating.
