Six Senses Zighy Bay

Rain lasted for a few days during our stay, so we didn’t feel we got to experience all the resort could offer. That was just one of those things. We spent five days there and the hotel picked us up in Dubai, which I recommend. The village layout was intriguing and thoughtfully done, and the place had a lovely feel. Food stayed consistently high quality, and service was good. Our butler, Taha, was superb, and several other staff made the stay special too. We used the gym a lot, went to the spa, took morning hikes to the mountain top, joined a beach clean-up, and had a bear foot buffet on the beach. Dinner costs can add up, and you may start wanting a simple meal and an easy evening. That’s not a complaint, just something to keep in mind.

My son and his wife stayed at the resort with us, and the experience was amazing throughout. The staff were all polite and helpful. Special thanks to the spa team, especially Pauline the yoga teacher, who gave us a memorable experience. Also, thanks to Chakram at breakfast and Stephanie at the bar for her smile and service. I highly recommend staying here. The way management trains and looks after the staff deserves thanks too.

The resort was far better than I expected, from the accommodation and service right down to the smallest touches. I spent three wonderful, peaceful days at Six Senses Zighy Bay and would love to repeat the experience. All the accommodation is private villas facing the sea, with stunning views of the bay and mountains and a real sense of privacy and calm. Staff were friendly, professional, respectful, and attentive, making sure guests were comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was delicious. Dinner was excellent too, especially dining outdoors beside the sea in the fresh breeze and calm setting. One thing for visitors to know: the paved mountain road climbs and then descends toward the resort. It’s narrow, and goats may be on the way. For safety and a smoother arrival, I wouldn’t recommend driving it in rain or unstable weather.

The staff were great and checked in whenever they could without being intrusive, which I appreciated. I didn’t like that sunscreen wasn’t provided at the beach or pool. At Four Seasons it’s always available without me needing to ask. I’m also very last-minute, so having to book activities ahead of time didn’t suit me. I wish they were more flexible about that.
