Garden Hotel Muscat

At Garden Hotel Muscat, I found the room spacious, clean, and comfortable, with everything I needed already there. Reception was nice, and housekeeping did a perfect job. When I had a pipe problem, they came and dealt with it right away. Breakfast was satisfying, with different meals each day. The soft music in the lobby and restaurant made those areas relaxing, and I loved that Omani coffee with fresh dates was available to everyone in the lobby. Thank you, Garden Hotel 😍🙏🏻

Good value for the price, with large rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was good, though some items weren’t out very early in the morning and came later. Room and bathroom maintenance was lacking: there was no phone in the room until I asked, and the shower wasn’t working properly. The hotel was full and short on towels, so we had to reuse the previous day’s towels for bathing. No complaints about the staff, who did their best to help.

I wasn’t satisfied with the service and would put it at about 2.5 stars. The old AC was noisy enough at night to disturb my sleep. Breakfast fell short of expectations, and on one occasion I found a cockroach in my cornflakes. Room service was average too: they didn’t bring two water bottles each day, and bathroom toiletries weren’t replenished regularly.

The location is excellent, staff were generally fine, and parking was usually available. But the rooms feel dated, with old furniture and a TV that looks years out of date. After the first few days, I started waking up with bites all over my arms and legs and having allergic reactions. I realized there were BED BUGS. When I told the hotel, they offered to move me, but gave no apology or compensation. I no longer felt comfortable staying, so I left early. They refused to refund the remaining night because I checked out around 7 PM, even though I felt the situation warranted a refund. I left disappointed and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless they deal with the bed bugs and improve their customer service.
