The clean rooms, tasty buffet breakfast, and humble, helpful staff make Ramee Guestline at Qurum Beach's end a solid choice. The food quality is good throughout. One thing to watch for: taxi drivers outside can be pushy and may block online cabs from picking up at the hotel.

On my first visit, I found the hotel nice and simple. It sits in a lovely, peaceful corner of the city, close to one of Muscat’s lovely beaches, so the location feels both convenient and quiet. There are plenty of bars and restaurants inside the Ramee Guestline Hotel. We went to try Tanatan, and it really impressed us.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room felt tired, dated, and unclean, with a horrible mould smell. There was an open condom in the bin when we arrived, long black hairs on the bed, a stained shower curtain, and covers that strongly smelled of aftershave. Reception was slow and not very friendly, and breakfast had a really poor selection. I’m not sure how this is classed 4star.

My card was marked inactive and locked without any notice or discussion with us. We were later told someone had assumed there were three people in the room, but nobody checked with us first. Then someone called the room to say I needed to check out before 2:00 PM. I already knew the checkout time, and the call felt inappropriate, especially since they had already asked me earlier when I planned to leave.

We had a very pleasant stay in a clean, classic room. Maynak, Ziyad, and the man from Lucknow at reception were extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious, with a big variety of choices. It was a pleasure staying here.
