Hotel Cubitá Boutique Resort & Spa

The hotel and its well-kept facilities made a good first impression, but the pool information was misleading and spoiled the stay. Nothing on Booking or in any messages said it was closed. At check-in I was told I could use it until 9:00 p.m., but when I went over, it turned out to be permanently closed for maintenance. That was frustrating, especially since the pool was one of my main reasons for booking.

The courtyard is a lovely spot to relax with a cool drink from the bar after dinner. It's covered by an amazing wooden ceiling, and the reception faces into it, with no doors between the parking lot and reception. The rooms are clean, and mine had a nice balcony looking over the inner court. The shower had plenty of pressure. This hacienda-style hotel has loads of atmosphere. Breakfast was simple, but the fruit selection was good.

Very good service. Juliana DeGracia deserves a shoutout, she was a wonderful representative of the hotel.

The hotel's location made it easy to get to central Chitré and nearby attractions, including local markets, historic sites, and the region's natural scenery. Hotel Cubita was a delightful place to stay. The colonial-inspired lobby had plenty of charm, and the hotel combines traditional Panamanian architecture with modern luxury. Its central courtyard, pool, and colorful landscaping were a wonderful place to unwind. The restaurants served both international food and authentic Panamanian dishes, all prepared beautifully, in inviting dining spaces. My room felt like a comfortable, peaceful retreat, with attractive furnishings, local artwork, a luxurious bathroom, lovely views of the hotel's greenery from the balcony, and bedding that made for a restful sleep. It was impeccably clean, and the amenities were excellent. The staff made me feel valued throughout my stay. They were genuinely warm, attentive to details, quick to help, and offered useful tips about local attractions.
