The beach at the hotel is beautiful, but the rest of our stay was below standard. For $150 a night, it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. It needs a lot of maintenance, and the pool wasn't open while we were there. Our room had just a bed, with no fridge, water, coffee, or anything else provided. The shower gel and shampoo were cheap. The beach restaurant charged $18 per burger, but the food was nowhere near worth that price. The burgers tasted like camp food, not gourmet. We found other restaurants on the island for half the price with much better food. The beach bar played its own music loudly from early in the morning. At breakfast, we had to listen to whatever the staff wanted instead of the waves and birds, which is usually part of why you travel to an island. I asked them to turn it off, but they refused even though we were the only guests having breakfast. I was pretty shocked. I'd suggest Mar Y Oro, where the service and rooms are much better and it's actually a little cheaper.

We loved the food, and the views from the location are beautiful. The staff were so helpful, and the food was a real highlight, simply delicious. El Chiringuito was my favorite, a fantastic bar with a great sea view, snacks, and drinks. We highly recommend visiting the island and staying here. We'll be back soon.

The location deserves five stars, but the service was so poor it made the sandy beaches easy to forget. Prices changed suddenly, extras appeared on our room, and bills went missing only to be replaced with new ones. It felt like staff tried to scam guests at every opportunity. Check-in and checkout each involved waits of over an hour because the manager was "away". Not one staff member spoke English, and they refused to use Google Translate. Most concerning, they made up rules as they went along, leaving you at risk of a room charge of hundreds of dollars. Don't stay here. Bring a tent instead.

The views, food, and service were amazing. Hotel La Isla made my New Year's incredible, and the staff knocked it out of the park. My best wishes to all of them. Thanks, everyone. I'll definitely be back.

This used to be an attractive hotel, but now it's abandoned and decaying. I was surprised to read it had closed only a year or two ago. It looks like it's had ten years of neglect.
