Bay View Hotel

The rooms could use an update, but the beds were clean and comfortable, and the A/C worked. The staff were amazing, and both the food and restaurant service were great. Carlos is the man! From the deck, you can take in spectacular views of the Pacific at low or high tide with a yummy cocktail. The pool was nice too. Great treatment and atmosphere go a long way for me! 😉

We paid $50 for nine people to park, go to the beach, and use the pool. Nice spot, though we didn't stay overnight. The tides shift a lot here, so check a tide chart before heading to the beach.

The view and beach are great, and there's a swing that's nice for photos. The pool was good, there were no bugs, and our dinner was good. The nighttime waiter was incredibly helpful. You can see that the hotel was once decorated with care, but the rooms urgently need upgrades. The sheets and curtains felt very rustic and not very clean. In the morning, the waitress seemed uninterested, and breakfast was mediocre. We still enjoyed our stay. Probably a good fit for young couples who aren't expecting too much.

The food was nice, and the service was very good when I went for lunch. What really upset me was seeing at least seven parrots kept in a small cage. They could only climb along the wire, with nowhere to retreat or hide, and sunflower seeds were the only food I saw. These intelligent birds belong in the wild, not behind bars.
