Hotel Mosna

You're practically a block from Arequipa's main square, which is a fantastic location. But the cable TV didn't work, and even after we asked, nobody fixed it. There were hot water issues too, only two breakfast choices, and a lot of noise at night. I'd choose an Airbnb instead.

This was the worst travel experience I've ever had. I arrived after a trip and found the hotel closed. Decolar's website said reception was open 24 hours, but the doors were shut. When I contacted the hotel, they said they didn't open on Christmas. I had made and paid for the reservation months earlier, and nobody had told me the hotel would be closed. They offered no help, so I had to book somewhere else while standing in the street with my bags, which felt very dangerous. I don't even know what to say.

Right in the city center, with friendly staff and a good price. They also have Wi-Fi, room TVs with Netflix, and luggage storage. Just know there's a bar at the hotel, right outside the rooms, that closes around 11 pm, so it can be noisy.

Everything was very clean, and it was inexpensive when booked through booking.com. It can get a bit noisy on weekends, and the room felt a little warm at night.
