The staff were very kind, and the room was decent for the price. They even let us check in early after our overnight bus and have the included breakfast on arrival day, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was basic, just scrambled eggs, coffee, and yoghurt, but fine. The hostel is in a good spot, around a 10-15 minute walk from the main square. The main problem during our stay was a group of young guests making lots of noise late at night. It affected our sleep, and we felt the staff should have stepped in.

Bear Packer Hostel is a calm, clean place to come back to after tours, with no parties and a peaceful feel. I found it had everything I needed, including a usable kitchen and laundry at a modest price. The location is great too, in the center of Cusco and only a short walk from Mercado San Pedro. Such a lovely stay ;)

For the price, the clean room and decent toilets and showers were okay, and the hostel is central, near Plaza de Armas. I didn't enjoy the kitchen, though. It felt so unappetizing that I was a little disgusted. Breakfast was passable, but the milk was mostly gone, the egg was tiny and usually cold, and the rolls tasted old. The breakfast staff seemed reserved and annoyed. The dining space also serves as the TV room, which made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

A simple, good-value place for a longer stay in Cusco, about a 5-10 minute walk from the main square. The staff are nice and helpful with information. The bed sheet and toilet were clean, and the shower worked fine, though you have to wait about two minutes at first for hot water. Breakfast is included.

The beds and bedding were perfect, and the staff were great. It's in a wonderful location too. The shower heads could use replacing, but I'd stay here again.
