Happy Hour was a highlight, especially the delicious passionfruit Pisco Sours. We were booked here through our group tour and expected something similar to the same group’s hotel in Urubamba, but this place was much more basic. The rooms felt dated, and breakfast was simple but tasty. Staff were very loud outside the rooms early in the morning, with the noise echoing across the wooden floors. Our room’s electrics blew on the first night, but staff came straight up and fixed it within five minutes. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. There was a fridge in the room, and we could use a plug-in heater, which we needed because evenings can be chilly. Everything was clean and tidy, the beds had plenty of layers to remove as we liked, the towels were fresh, and the bath filled quickly with the fast running water. Shops and some restaurants were within walking distance, though the hotel was a little out of the center. The biggest concern was that my husband was ill and sleeping in the room with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. A male staff member knocked and woke him, then entered anyway despite the sign. My husband was incredibly surprised and concerned.

I was feeling very sick during my recent stay, and the staff went out of their way to take care of my needs. They treated me with so much warmth and care. I really want to mention how lovely the people working at this hotel are. Thank you!

The staff and service were great, and the hotel is close to the airport. The city center is only a quick 10-minute cab ride away. The problem was the noise. It seems to be a central meeting point for tour buses, and with many tours leaving as early as 4am, the noise interrupted our sleep.

The antique pictures in the room and around the hotel were a nice touch. My room was roomy and comfortable for a quick layover, and the free breakfast was satisfactory. Agustos Cusco is near the airport, though it’s away from the main attractions. An Uber there took about 10 minutes and cost around 8 soles. The local commercial neighborhood felt safe and was quiet at night.

The hotel isn’t right in the center, but it’s a pleasant 5-10 minute walk past shops and places of interest, with a chance to see local life. The staff were very helpful, and the restaurants were decent.
