The beds were comfortable, the interior was nice, and the hostess was kind and clearly trying her best. The price was really good, so we were fine overall. It can be hard for taxi drivers to find, though, because it's on Pasaje, not Calle Retiro. Some things felt odd, like a hole in the bathroom wall for fresh air right by the dining table/common room, and little electrical pulses in the shower. Hygiene also wasn't quite up to scratch in places.

Having a separate entrance made it easy to come and go as we pleased, which I loved. The rooms also have private bathrooms with hot water, and there's a shared kitchen for making your own meals if you want. The city center is a 15-minute walk, or a taxi costs 5 soles and public transport is 0.80 soles.

Gaby manages this place and is incredibly friendly. We booked through Airbnb, and the price made it well worth it. Everything was clean, breakfast was included, and they provided bread with jam and butter, plus coffee and tea. Laundry is available for 3 soles per kilo, and they also have city maps.
