Hotel Arcangel

I’ve been coming back since 2016, and this is the best hotel I’ve found in Cuzco. It’s right in the heart of San Blas, with spacious rooms, a great breakfast, and nice staff.

The beds were comfortable, and the room and breakfast were nice. After checkout, the helpful woman at the desk kept our luggage for most of the day until our flight. Having to carry it around would have been a nightmare.

The water took a long time to get warm, and even then it never got very hot. Our room had timber floors that sloped, and noise from other guests kept us up every night during our four-night stay.

The room was cleaned daily, and the sheets and towels felt clean. The sturdy furniture and classy look were nice, and the balcony's two windows helped keep the room from losing too much heat. It's very close to the city center, and the staff do their best to help. Just keep phrases simple when using Google Translate, since the language barrier can get in the way. The big selling points for me were reliable hot water around the clock and air conditioning that can warm the room. That said, noise travels between rooms, especially at busy times, and the floors creak in places. The AC has no humidity setting, so the dry air can make your nose bleed unless you use water or nasal spray. Breakfast may disappoint some people, me included. Still, for the price and the good points, I'd give it 5/5. God bless!
