Kintu Classic Cusco

We had spacious, clean rooms and friendly service, with decent Wi-Fi, a hot shower, and Mastercard accepted. The location also worked really well for exploring Cusco: about 5-7 minutes on foot from Perurail’s Wanchaq Station across the road, and roughly 15-20 minutes from Plaza de Armas and the Qorikancha site. Breakfast came with our room: bread, staff-cooked scrambled eggs, tea, coffee, and juice. Gladis was especially kind. Her English wasn’t the strongest, but she still worked hard to help us, cooked for our group at breakfast, and opened the door late at night. We appreciated her and the rest of the team. They also arranged airport taxis for arrival and departure for 20-25 soles. If altitude sickness hits, the hostel provides coca tea. I wouldn’t drink the pitcher water, though, so buy a bottle. Nearby, Yola's restaurant is about a 5 minute walk straight down Av. Pardo Paseo de Los Héroes, with decent portions and prices. A taxi to Plaza or Mercado Central de San Pedro should be around 5 soles or less. It’s a quaint little place, and I’d recommend it for a comfortable rest and helpful staff.
