Yawar Inka Hotel

The room itself was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The beds, large pillows, and linens were excellent, and the spacious bathroom had fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. Still, from check-in I felt the clerk was hostile. I pointed out several differences between the listing on hotels.com and what was actually available: it claimed there was a bar and restaurant, plus a deli and 24-hour service, but none of those existed. Breakfast was advertised until 930 but stopped at 9 AM. Our first-floor room was very noisy, despite the claim that rooms were soundproof. We heard garbage trucks from 6 AM and restaurant workers making loud noises one floor below at the same time. The curtains opened onto parked cars and pavement at eye level, so passersby could look in. Breakfast was a big disappointment too. Almost nothing was labeled, there were no muffins, croissants, danish, or other usual breakfast items, and the buffet wasn’t heated. The scrambled eggs were room temperature, with no warmer underneath, and there were no sneeze guards. The coffee was good, but I regret staying here and wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

The rooms were tidy, though the compact size made them feel a bit claustrophobic. I also had some trouble breathing at the high altitude, and the room's atmosphere seemed to add to it. Bottled water costs extra. The other facilities were good, and I had no complaints about them. My stay was okay.

The building and rooms are beautifully put together and feel high quality. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. We had a very comfortable stay, and the service was great. I'd happily recommend it.

We had breakfast packed to go for our early tours, and the staff were always helpful. The area felt very safe, and it was clean, close to the mercado, and near good restaurants. The hotel worked really well for us.
